Established in 2004 by the owner operators, Peter and Decima Freckleton, the Leigh Sawmill Brewing Company specializes in natural hand crafted, premium beers. Each batch is brewed in the age old tradition in a copper kettle and fermented in timber clad fermentation tanks, before being transferred to the stainless steel conditioning tanks to condition naturally.
All beers are made from the finest selected ingredients. These include a range of classic malts, wheat and corn from New Zealand, Australia and the UK and traditional hop varieties from Nelson. Ultra filtered rain water and specialty yeasts are used to further enhance the natural flavours of the brews. There are no artificial additives, sugars or preservatives.
Our beers are “Living Beers” (unpasteurised and unfiltered).
